AWeber Email Marketing was founded in 1998 by Tom Kulzer in Chalfont PA.
AWeber offers its customers a high-quality email marketing platform with no unnecessary bells and whistles.
If you need nothing more than a landing page for collecting your customer’s email addresses and automated email campaigns to continually engage with your customers, then AWeber is just what you need.
With a totally free plan for a single list of up to 500 contacts and a simple pricing structure should you either exceed 500 contacts or choose to upgrade to their Pro plan for a great range of additional features, what more do you need from an email marketing tool?
After reading many positive AWeber reviews I decided to try them out for my business and I am not disappointed, I really like their no BS approach to doing things.
Why AWeber Is Worth Promoting As An Affiliate
First and foremost it’s a good quality service that has been around for over 20 years, so they know what they’re doing. An added bonus is, it’s free to promote AWeber, unlike some other affiliate programs, you don’t have to be a paying subscriber to join up.
The best way to promote something as an affiliate is to know how it works inside out. Let’s say you tell someone all about AWeber and they ask you “Can I integrate AWeber with ClickFunnels?” and you reply “I don’t know” do you think you’re going to get a sign up from them? No, me neither.
With the AWeber free plan, you can learn how the software works at no cost to yourself.
As a member of the AWeber affiliate program (or customer referral program as AWeber calls it), AWeber affiliates are paid a 30% recurring commission each month for everyone you refer to AWeber.
For as long as your referrals stay subscribed, you earn a 30% recurring commission month after month.
With a 365-day cookie duration, it doesn’t matter if your referral signs up today, tomorrow, next week, or in 364 days’ time, they are cookied to you so you will still earn a commission.
AWeber affiliate commissions are paid on the 1st of the month, subject to a minimum $30 accrual for USA affiliates, and $50 accrual for international affiliates.
Your commissions can be paid by either a check in the post or via your PayPal account.
AWeber affiliate program marketing tools include the ability to build your own landing page and email list, plus there are banner ads and video ads provided for you, all included in your free account.

How To Promote AWeber As An Affiliate
One of the best ways to promote AWeber as an affiliate, especially if you’re new to affiliate marketing, is by building a blog website about AWeber.
To do this you will need:
- Webhosting from a service provider such as Bluehost
- A keyword research tool. If you’re new to affiliate marketing I recommend keysearch.co as it’s very budget-friendly making it ideal for beginners. It costs just $13.60 per month when you use my 20% discount code KSDISC20 when you sign up.
- You can also use a free service called answerthepublic.com for some keyword ideas.
Other ways to promote AWeber are to create a YouTube channel alongside your blog or to create a private support group on social media platforms like Facebook where you can create a supportive community to provide your referrals with any help they may need.
I only recommend the Facebook support group once you know AWeber inside out.
