Kajabi is aimed towards entrepreneurs who have digital products to sell such as training courses, ebooks, and membership programs.
ClickFunnels is aimed at a broader market and can also be used for selling physical products as well as digital. ClickFunnels can even be used if you have a brick and mortar business.

Ease Of Use
Both platform’s page builder works on a simple drag & drop system so you don’t have to be a techno-nerd in order to be able to use them. If you can type text and upload an image from your computer, you already have all the tech skills you need.
One feature that ClickFunnels has that I have yet to see on any of their competitors is the ability to share a funnel.
If you don’t want to be bothered editing a pre-made template or building your own funnel from scratch, with ClickFunnels you can have someone do it for you. They then send you the funnel URL link, you click it, and the funnel installs into your ClickFunnels account!

Both ClickFunnels and Kajbi come with their own inbuilt email autoresponder.
With ClickFunnels you have to subscribe to the Platinum Plan in order to use Follow-Up Funnels, which commits you to the $297 per month plan.
However, ClickFunnels integrates with many third-party autoresponders such as Active Campaign, AWeber, ConvertKit, Constant Contact, GetResponse, MailChimp plus a few others.
The chart below shows you how much ClickFunnels Basic plus the cheapest account of a third party autoresponder will cost you per month:
The Kajabi autoresponder is available on all 3 plans, but you are limited to how many contacts you can have in your account:
- Basic – $149 per month for 10,000 contacts
- Growth $199 per month for 25,000 contacts
- Pro $399 per month for 100,00 contacts
Kajabi Basic & Growth plans are cheaper than ClickFunnels Basic plus a third party autoresponder once those third-party platforms reach 10,000 and 25,000 contacts. However, that’s where the good news ends for Kajabi in this section.
The Kajabi Pro plan is $399 per month for 100,000 contacts, whereas as ClickFunnels Platinum is $297 per month and you get UNLIMITED contacts.
Looking at the chart above and compare the prices in the 25,000 contacts per month column, upgrading your ClickFunnels account to Platinum quickly becomes a no brainer!

Membership Site / Membership Funnel
Both ClickFunnels and Kajabi offer you a membership site builder. ClickFunnels refer to a membership site as a membership funnel, but it’s OK, it’s the same thing.
On your membership site, you can:
- Add new content
- Add new members
- Delete members
- Restrict access to certain areas if an active member needs to pay extra to access that particular piece of content
- Monitor your member’s progress through your online courses
and much more.
How many active members you’re permitted to have all depends on which platform you choose, and which plan you’re on.
Kajabi membership limits are:
- Kajabi Basic: 2,000 active members
- Kajabi Growth: 20,000 active members
- Kajabi Pro: 40,000 active members
ClickFunnels membership limits are:
There are none! A ClickFunnels membership site gives you UNLIMITED active members on both Basic and Platinum plans.
Winner: ClickFunnels Selling online course material is the main aim of Kajabi, whereas ClickFunnels is more about the sales funnel software, although their membership funnels are very good. I certainly wouldn’t open a Kajabi account just to use the course creation feature, especially not when they’re going to limit the number of members I can have joining my already smaller amount of domains than ClickFunnels.
Integrations
Both ClickFunnels and Kajabi can be integrated with many top blue-chip service providers out there.
As your looking at selling products and taking payments, both of them integrate seamlessly with PayPal & Stripe, the 2 biggest and most trusted names in this field.
You can accept all credit cards and debit cards across both platforms. You can also set up Apple Pay and Google Pay with ClickFunnels.
Neither ClickFunnels or Kajabi charge a transaction fee when you sell something through them. You only pay the merchants fees charged by your choice of payment gateway. Both PayPal and Stripe charge just 2.9% + 30¢.

Both ClickFunnels and Kajbi allow you to add custom domains to your accounts. As usual, depending on which plan you choose depends on how many you’re allowed to add.
ClickFunnels Hosting
ClickFunnels hosting gives you 3 domains/websites on the Basic Plan and 9 domains/websites on the Platinum plan.
Kajabi Hosting
Kajabi hosting gives you 2 websites on the Basic and Growth plans, and 6 websites on the Pro plan.
Winner: ClickFunnels Fewer domains mean you can have fewer courses on Kajabi. It’s a clear point for ClickFunnels here.
Affiliate Programs
No comparison would be complete without mentioning the affiliate program, something which both ClickFunnels and Kajabi offers.
Kajabi Referral Program
To join the Kajabi partner program (as they call their affiliate program) you have to subscribe to either the Growth or Pro plan, OUCH!
Kajabi affiliates are paid a 30% monthly recurring commission for the lifetime of your referral subscribing.
Kajabi partner program commissions are paid around the 25th of the month.
ClickFunnels Affiliate Program
You don’t have to be a subscriber to join the ClickFunnels affiliate program, and you’re automatically enrolled on it if you subscribe to either the Basic or Platinum plans.
ClickFunnels changed the structure of their affiliate program around August 2019, but ClickFunnels affiliates are paid up to a 40% monthly recurring commission, and you could win a dream car of your choice!
Once you connect your ClickFunnels account to Tipalti, your ClickFunnels affiliate commissions are paid every 2 weeks, on the 1st and 15th of the month, subject to having at least $100 to payout.

ClickFunnels customer support is one area where they do need to improve.
In fairness to them, they have sorted out everything I’ve contacted them over, but what let’s then down is there’s no 24/7 live support like some of their competition.
You have a choice of emailing them or using one of those annoying online chatbots that never fully understands the question you’ve asked.
If you’re a Platinum Plan subscriber, your emails get priority over Basic Plan subscribers.

We’ve reached the end of my Kajabi ClickFunnels comparison, so which one? Obviously, I’d take ClickFunnels.
I fully understand the attraction of Kajabi as a ClickFunnels alternative. It’s a very impressive platform with a lot to offer you for your money and is one of the big ClickFunnels competitors. If you’re looking to selling only digital products like ebooks and online training courses then it would be a great choice if you don’t mind the extra cost.
I prefer to use ClickFunnels and GetResponse myself as I have found ClickFunnels to be the best for sales funnels, and GetResponse to be the best for email marketing automations.
If I had to pick an alternative to ClickFunnels, I’d take GetResponse because it has everything I need and I’m already a customer of theirs.
